I filled my stage 2 vino (with stock transmision) with 94 octane today...it goes much faster. Up to 85kph (53mph) with more gusto.
Anyone notice this???
I also spoke to a dealer in Rigaud Quebec (French talk), Seguin Sport...He said he installs 70cc with no upgrade to carbs, he just upgrades the jets...He also said this never burns out the engine. Is he full of hooey?
My friend is current riding one of his Vinos.

you can upgrade the cylinder without the carb... and simply upjet... however no matter what you can only push so much air through the stock carb... 14mm I think, compaired to a 19mm or 24mm... that's a lot more air/fuel... more power... less restriction...
on the flip side of that... if you keep the stock carb, Airsal says you can still use the oil injection system... so that would be cool...

a 70cc on a stock carb is fine only until you install an expansion chamber pipe ;)

yeah, forgot that part... once you start reving higher then the stock pipe allows... It'd be a good idea to get a larger carb...
also, with a 70cc kit... really no need to go larger then a 24mm carb... even with an Evolution kit (polini) you shouldn't need larger then the 24mm carb...
now get into the stroker kits, you might need 26-30mm area...

I ran a T-6 with the stock carb with a Zuma needle and jet, and stock exhaust and got 48-50mph out of it with more torque and acceleration. Nice and quiet but not as fast as a 70cc should be.
