About six months ago for my freelance work, Elise bought me a notebook PC with a wireless modem that's hooked up through my Verizon Wireless account, so I'm mobile everywhere. Anyone else ever do this sort of on the go net accessing?

Almost the only way I surf.

I have a Dell D600 Latitude with built in wireless cards and so on- just got it 2 weeks ago.

I had a Dell C840 Latitude for the last 10 months and got this new laptop just because of the wireless capability.

PS- I work for a company with 220K employees. Anything over $2K is through "Capitol Tools Budget" and it is easier to get new PC than it is to get approved for a $40 wireless card..

Every 10-12 month I get a new laptop.

Yeah, I know that feelin' I like when I was part time at Marriott MCNC and the idiot tech replaced a route with a hub, and they got knocked offline by a virus attack in eight seconds after going back on.On a similar note you should see the new Nikon dSLR cameras like the D2h that has integrated wi/fi built in to them for wireless data transfer and flash control. Never thought I'd see the day we'd use wi/fi for flash control.

I use a wireless modem to do my online stuff on the notebook via Verizon Wireless network.
