well, I went to my local Honda dealer yesterday to look at a used MZ Moskito 125r that they had on ebay for $99. (it was garbage)

BUT, while I was there (I rode my scooter there) I got to talking to one of the managers that owns one. The dealership DOES NOT allow test rides, but since the mgr owned it, he let me take it for a ride.

It WAS the MOST comfortabel scoooter that I have EVER riden!!!! It has an adjustable seat, and plenty of leg room. It has great power, and tops out at around 80mph!!!! If it were not for the 5K price tag, I woulda bought one!!!! They are bigger than most of the scooters we all ride, but not so big that it feels like a motorcycle.

Anybody alse ridden one yet?

Wow... an 80 mph scooter?

LOL But the Rukus looks more like an MX with small wheels! Besides, I bought my Honda Twinstar for $700 and it does 80 mph. The Rukus really seems to stretch the definition of a scooter.

Thanks... but I'll keep my Vino! ;)

For that price I will take a GP1-250 please..

Before I bought my Zuma I almost bought a lil' Ruckus- at that time it was a "toy" and didn't even consider spicing anything up.

Let us be honest now... these scooters ARE toys! We're simply having a ball playing with them. I know I am!

The Honda line is rather overpriced...for 5k, I can get a 400cc fuel injected Majesty. I'm hoping to see a 250cc in the Yamaha line, for a little less money.

Yes- you are right! I meant a "toy" to zip around town on where as now I have a true alternative mode of transportation. I was thinking my scoot was a toy I would take to the beach, run around every so often on and so on- not try to ride every chance I get. :)

I only have one vehicle now- a compact truck. When I need maintance I can throw the scoot in the back, drop the truck off, take the scoot off the back to get around and then ride it back up to pick it up when it is done, throw it in the back and off I go.

My bar story is even better- drive my truck to the bar, get a ride home, ride scoot to work the next day and then back to my truck, throw it in the back and then go on home.

Hehehe...looks like you have your needs well sorted out...Never let your transportation interfere with your drinking...

Ya Know, Lennox, you've made me look at the Honda line a bit more seriously...

That Big Ruckus !! What a monster...Grody enough to be interesting...does it have any on-board storage? What's between the feet?

The Reflex sport with its shorty windshield deserved a closer look...i think I'll make a few calls tomorrow..

I used to like the Ruckus but now a fan of the "sporty" looking bikes- new GP-1 I used to hate but now am a fan. I guess now that I have some sound and speed under me I am changing my opinion. I used to think sporty scooters looked gay but if you make it run to match the looks then I am all for it. Kind of like a kit car put on a Fiero with the stock guts in it- cheesy; but if it runs 175MPH and a 11 seconds in the 1/4 then it is now cool.
