What's up guys. Today was a nice day so I went out riding with my friends. AS I was going top end, around 45ish or so engine area makes like a wasping sound and I lose power. This only happens at complete top end.

I am running a stock tranny set up and stock electronics. So I was wondering what could cause me to lose power. It is like the whole motor just cuts out, I have to let it slow down and then I can go again.

I have narrowed it down to either the vario set up gets maxed out since it is stock. Or I am hitting the RPM Limiter.

I am now leaning towards to the variator side.

What you guys think?

the rev limiter is not liek that on the zuma... it retards the timing and restricts it by not allowing it to spin faster...

but is not like a car, where it hit a rev limiter and "bounces"... so I doubt that's it...

the variator, not sure that it'd cause the engine to jump at all...

I'd say you seound to be lean on the top end... and it's cutting out from that...

What does your plug look like?

The engine doesn't jump. At least I don't think it jumps. It just accelerates and then all of a sudden it is like nothing. No power no nothig what so ever. You have to let go of the gas and then let it roll for a second and then give it gas again.

I will try the larger jet again tommorow. Hopefully that will work.
