oil change

Can anyone tell me how to change the oil. I want to flush out all the old stuff and add new synthetic instead.

Also will any 2 stroke motor oil do or is one brand better than the other?

Well any 2 stroke oil will work just make sure it is not 2 stroke premix oil unless you premix your gas then make sure it is not 2 stroke injector oil

I use AMS oil full synthetic but I premix cause of the stuff I have done to my scooter

Basically you can pull the oil line off the oil pump and let it drain... however it'll take for ever... the easiest way is to take the tank out and turn it upside down to get the oil out... reinstall it and fill with synthetic...

make sure you use injector oil for your vino. I had problems finding 2 stroke injector oil at the local pep boys and places like that, so I had to go back to the yamaha shop to get it. They recommended synthetic, so thats what I got. I guess its just the standard stuff, came in a green bottle. The only stuff that I could find in the local places was marine 2 stroke injector, which i figured would work, but the guys couldnt tell me what made it marine, so I didnt buy it.

yepp... synthetic oil... and make sure it's compatable with oil injection...

Some oil is premix only... don't use that kind if you are running the injector...
