Well I don't really feel like post all the mods I have which is not much to what some of you guys have.
Well today in Chicago it was a nice 68 degrees today. I woke up and put in the jets into the carb. I put a 48 Pilot and a 135 Main Jet. I am running a 24MM OKO Carb with no Filter.
The bike started and idled nicely. Didn't turn off like before when I had the vacuum problem. So I took the scoot for a spin around the nighborhood...
WOW! Was I amazed. This bad boy pulls like a monster. It pulls hard. Here is my question.
When I reach approximatly 36MPH the bike begins to choke/studder, choke/studder, choke/studder, choke/studder, and then it pulls up to 40+.
Should I put a higher Main Jet? Everything on the low end side is nice and responsive.

is it a back fire? or a bog? a back fire would mean it's lean and a bog would mean it's rich...
I'd try a smaller Jet, 135 is a little large... I think mine is a 120-125 jet... and probably have a more tuned scooter then yours as you mentioned...
Once in the higher RPM's the jet is the factor...
The other thing... what is your tranny set up?

I'm not sure he's jetted too high. Right now I've got 130/52/needle leanest with an air filter. I've been having a hard time getting the thing balanced. Probably the best main for me, though, is 128. With no filter 135 might be small.

Im not exactly sure what it is. A 36MPH the bike sorta just starts sputtering/hesitating and then it goes to 40+. I am going to try and put in a one size bigger jet and see what happens.
My tranny set up is stock. I am going to be ordering the over-range and a gear kit (not sure which one yet leaning towards the polini).

You have a 52 pilot jet in yours?
THe sputtering happens when throttle is 3/4 to FULL. So maybe it is the Pilot Jet that can't keep up. Maybe I should toss in the 50.

I'm gonna say you need to tune the transmission... The set up you have without any tranny changes... is your problem...
70CC Char Mo Racing Cylinder (Aluminum Head and Iron Block), 24MM OKO Carb, Koso Intake Manifold, Polini Big Valve Kit, Tecnigas R Exhaust
I'm really suprized that you haven't had any issues with more bogging and such... As the stock weights are usually way higher than the upgrade kits ones...
Definately need a varitor upgrade, weather it's the over range or not... get something... Even a stiffer torque spring and lighter rollers would have a big difference... IMO anyway
