Not really sure whats going on here, but let me give you some history.

Bought the scooter with 120 miles on it. Its a 2008. GY6 150cc. The guy I bought it from he bought it with 4 miles on it. (Title proved it). The guy he bought it from bought it for his wife which she was scared to drive it so it sat outside for a year and a half doing nothing.

I changed the engine oil and gear oil at 300 miles. (I was leaking gear oil badly before I changed it. It would be all over my tire.) Once I changed it, it stopped leaking for a week? Then today when I went to work, when it got to 5-7 mph it would feel almost if it was shifting hard? Then it would be find any other speed. Just always around that speed it would do it. When I came home. I saw very little gear oil leaked out. (not nearly as much as before though) So, my question is. What would cause it? It only seems to do it after I drive it, then let it sit for a few hours and there will be oil. So is there a gasket that can be bad? or the plug? The plug looked fine.

I know this is all not very straight forward, but I'm tired and need sleep. So again, question. Why and where can it be leaking and is there a gasket to replace for it, and is it easy to do? and why does it "shift hard or what not".

Thanks! :nerd:

Where is is leaking from? Is it getting into the CVT?

I haven't opened it up yet, going to tonight after work. Hmm, that would cause oil on the belt to slip right??

Well, I tried to open it. I got it like 1/2 inch off and it wouldnt come off anymore. Its like stuck on the kick starter or something. I got pissed off and put it back on.

Got it open finally, fixed the issue with the slipping type deal. It was the kick starter? I removed it completely. It runs much better. and so far it hasnt leaked?

The kick starter was causing the slipping? There were no signs of leaking in the CVT?

Well, I'm not 100% sure, but once I removed the kick start and pinched the belt a few times to check it. (which was a good belt) I put it back on and ran it with no problems. I even ran it hard, and still nothing.

That's always nice. Inspect the kick start mechanism and when you have time, install it slowly and see if it is interfering anywhere.
