removing insignia

I was wondering if anyone has removed the insignia for thier Vino. Sometimes these things will leave a hole under where they were put on, but i think these are just stuck on with some sort of glue. I don't want to try it and ruin anything...

just pull the panel off and see if there are screws coming through...

I'd guess that they are like the emblems on cars... where they are a sturdy sticker...

my focus is that way... and my old SVT focus was that way... take a screw driver, gentally and carefully pull them up... once they are off get goof off or a similar product and remove the sticky materials... and that's it...

I really doubt that the vino's are screwed or bolted on...

I know it really wasn't very helpful... sorry I couldn't tell you more... I have a zuma and they come with vinyl stickers on them...

If you dont have "Goof-off"..try spraying WD-40..Or Silicone spray..

try heating the sticker up with a hair dryer or somthing first. It will come off easier and cleaner. You might look like a goff out there blow drying your scooter but its worth it. :)

Heating like syneed said and sticker remover available at most auto parts store works great.

damn, that stuff is sticky. i got it all off though. it took a good hour of my morning and a lot of patience but it eventually worked. I used Goo Gone and it didn't really seem to help much. Maybe Goof Off is a lot better. whatever whatever whatever. its all good now. thanks.

yeah, it's super clean looking now. one of these days when i find time i'll design some graphics for it. next step though is derestricting it. That should add about 5mph, right?

So did you keep the insignias intact as you removed them or did they get all bent up? Im in need of at least one replacement of the vino emblem, and if you still have yours, maybe we can figure something out?

At first i was careful not to bend them, but they were quite difficult to remove and i ended up taking the easier route and went ahead and bent them up to get them off. Sorry about that. If i'd have known i could have kept that in mind.
