I have a vento zip, which has been sitting for a few years. It will run when I shoot starter fluid in the carb, as soon as I stop, it dies. So I am getting spark. I replaced the gas, checked the fuel filter. Cleaned the carb (soaking it in gas overnight). IT runs with the starter fluid but thats it. Any suggestions? Ideas? The scooter only has 350 miles, 6years old. Thank you, Help!!

are you getting fuel to the carb? Is the float adjusted correctly? It is definitely a fuel delivery issue.

First off....DON'T CLEAN CARBS WITH GAS.....IT HAS ETHANOL IN IT! I've said this so many times if i had a nickel....I would have half of George Soros money!
Clean the carb with Berrymen chemdip or at least berrymen chemtool carb spray!
After you clean the carb and take out all the jets and make sure you see day light through them ESPECIALLY the pilot jet (the little one) that way it will start and idle and of course make sure the main jet is clean as well...with REAL carb cleaner NOT gasoline since that will leave a varnish when it dries since it has ETHANOL in it. Let us know after you clean the carb for real.
