I just picked up my new 2005 Zuma today. Love it! Since this is my first scooter it was a little tricky driving it for the first 30 miles or so but now I am getting the hang of it and havent crashed... YEA!! How long before or during the breakin period will it hit 40 MPH. The top speed for now is 35. The air temp here in Maine was 47 does that make a difference? Thanks in advance for responses.

The day I pick my 05 Zuma up was also in the 40s. I trailered it the two hours home and unloaded it. Not wanting to be the typical male, I sat down and read all of the instructions before braving the cool air for its inagural ride. I was some what surprised to find my self going 40+ up a dirt road on a very slight incline. Never being one to believe in the suggested breakin I have opened it up repeatedly though not holding wot for very long. I have always done my breakins with variable throttle and speed and not abusive with either. It has worked on a lot of different vehicles in my life. Don't abuse it any more than you do yourself (what am I saying -- erase erase). Love my Zuma! ::handleba

I cant leave things stock. Before I rode The first thing i did was a 70cc topend. Just that put me over 40mph......of cours that was not fast enough. Then I found this web sight! (provo) Well lets just say after $500.00+ my warranty is voild and I'm hitting 58mph. give or take + -. ::handleba I love watching the peoples faces in the cars when I split lanes to the front of the light and drop the hammer when the light turns o_o . STOCK=BAD MOD=GOOD.
