View Full Version : Vino 2001
Hi, I have a vino 2001 (I had a japanese honda 49cc 199x faster little bike, could do willies with no problems) anyways, the dealer made the deregulations (pipe and washer) when I've got the bike (brand new) i'm getting some good 45-50mpg, how faster will it go with stage one kit?
Thanks
Gus
p/s I really love the japanese lights kit, sure beats those ugly big lights I've got on now.

Yeah, I love my OEM Japanese refit. Looks great being back to the OEM setup. Results can vary but 50 is usually the norm for Stage I on a Vino.

When you do a refit on blinkers, what do you do to cover the holes on the side of the headlight where those big honkin' turn signals poke out?

Oh that's easy. Use soda pop caps from any 2 liter or 20 oz pop bottle. I painted mine black then they fit in the hole perfectly.

Sad...King...Sad...you have turned into one of them!...you've been in the area too long...it "pop" NOT soda...or soda pop. Next you will be asking for sprinkles on your ice cream insead of "jimmys"...

I'm from Pittsburgh that's what we call it.
Jimmys!!! That's an adult male blue crab legal size for picking since they are over 5" (I've lived in Maryland too long, I bloody know crabbing regulations!)

I guess I missed all of that....
If you ask for a "POP" I'll deck you!
Ask for a Coke, that's what you'll get regular old coke
Ask for a SODA and I'll ask what kind!
WHat the heck are you talking about using old soda bottles for on your scooter?
If I understand correctly you asked how the old blinker holes were filled in... On the Zuma anyways (my model) I removed the rear tail piece as well and removed the reflectors from the plate mount... Then installed them over the holes to keep side reflectors on my scooter and cover the holes at the same time.
See my scootergarage for pics of this.

The reflectors studs were too short. How did you secure them? I Just used different small round ones that actuall fit in the hole.

Yup, I'd take the caps from a 16oz Mt Dew, painted them black so they'd match the black rubber surrounding the headlight nacelle, and they just snuggly fit right in the hole. No more holes.
