Hey all,

Awaiting a call from the mechanic any hour now. He's intalling the full Stage 2 Kit with Kevlar belt and Technigas Next R pipe (for 70cc), for my Vino.

I'm sure I will have many tuning questions to follow...but for now:

Any idea how long a mechanic should take to install the Stage 2 Kit? I mean they have the tools and he said he's done it before...for other brands of scooters.

Will he have to adjust (increase) the oil pre-mixing into the the carb for the 70cc? Should I simply pre-mix instead?

Does anyone know if (and where) I can get a speedometer for the new Vino (metric), and how to calibrate for it? Erich maybe?

Patiently waiting new and improved scooter...full review to come in the next day or so...drum roll please :drum:

Go pre-mix, it is the best. The stock oil injection is made for a 50cc cylinder, not a 70cc. It will not provide enough lube.

And oil pump disable if you go pre-mix you should try some of the install yourself use some of the members how to's theres really good info in those how to's step by step. I would think about four hours that install could be completely done.

yeah... the how to are really good... the guys who write them must be gods or something! LOL!

anyway, I think your safer with the premix... however there are a few who think the pump is okay... Just your opinion...

Thanks for the replies BTW...much appreciated!

Got off the phone with my mechanic, he said the stock intake manifold for my Malossi 19mm manual choke carb is too small and does not fit the crankcase...might have to order one from Erich...sucks huh :( ...can't he find a way to semi-mod it to fit?

I might go with pre-mix...not sure yet. I'm aware of the warning, I read it too from the instructions. But can't I add a larger tube of something to provide more mixture? For pre-mixing, I'm worried about the oil not mixing homogeneously enough in the fuel tank, when I pour it in...is this too nit-picky? Could be a pain everytime I fill up.

It's getting warm(er) here +5C (42F)...can't wait for it to be ready...tuning should be fun!

I also look forward to writing a detailed Stage Two Review, since there aren't too many I found in this forum regarding the Vinos.
