hi all new to the forum ive got
2 yamahoppers and 2 parts
89 zuma
tri zinger 60cc in parts
atc 70
03 zx6rr

i love working on cars, motorcycles, mopeds and anything with an engine. got my first 2 yamahoppers in 08 and had a blast riding and fix cause there so darn cheap. im going to school of auto tech. im 20 and from iowa. current project is polishing the case and stuff on my yamahopper plan on putting my zinger engine on after boring. and the zuma. just finished my blue stock blue yamahopper thats in really good condition.
i have come with a question on my most recent buy, my 89 zuma cw50. the electric start does not work when the key is on but after its started the motor will work (but ovousely dont acomplish anything cause the engine is running) ive looked over all the wires and they look good now. some yayhoo routed the harnes wrong and got smashed then some hackjob twisted and taped the wires up. so i soldered it up real nice.
starter relay is good
battery is good
bout to start back probin shyyt hopefully that works out
so my qusetion is whats wrong with the starting system? any pointers?
is there a free service manual on line anywhere?
