Well it finally happend, just like my wife told me, your gonna wreck it if you keep on doing wheelies. As hard as it is to say it she was right. I was out practicing my wheelies today and I had probably rode one close to a hundred yards when I blipped the throttle too much and over it came. I bailed off and threw it forward so it wouldnt come back on me and it landed and kept on going straight. I jumped up to try to catch it by that time it was headed for the ditch it started swerving back and forth untill the ditch stopped it. I scratched it up a little bit where the reflectors are on the side below the handle bars but nothing too bad. It was still enough to piss me off then I had to come home and listen to her. I guess I am lucky the way it ended up by falling in the ditch and not just sliding down the road if it had done that it would have been really messed up. Me I am alright my leg is stove up pretty good and I am sore but other than that I am fine thank god I had my helmet on though. My pride also got hurt because there was people driving down the road watching and I got pretty embaressed when it happend. Oh well. I am just happy it didnt really mess up my scooter that bad. :(

Thats all part of learning man. Things are going to happen. At least your smart enough to wear a helmet. :)

without the possibility of disaster, where would the thrill be. Can't wait till my parts get here and installed. I may get a speeding ticket just to say "Man, I got a speeding ticket on my scooter today." Then chart the array of looks I get.
Sorry 'bout the spill. Hopefully I can practice some good weelies soon. "Sigh"

I watched one of my friends (300lbs) pop a wheelie at a stop light on his vintage Vespa accidently. Luckily he was able to hold on to the handlbars but I'll never forget the sight of him running after his scoot for 20 yards or so holding on while it was still in wheelie position :p

It took me a while to learn to do it on the scooter because you are going at a slower speed. I am use to doing it on my gsxr1000 where I am running anywhere from 70-110mph. I fell it is easier to hold it up the faster you go because the wind is helping you hold it. The main thing is to find your balance point where you feel like you are fixing to flip over. Once you are there all you do then is just play with the throttle to keep it in that point if the wheel drops the slightest bit give it a little gas if it comes back to far let off. Once you find the balance point you will be able to ride them for a ways. It will take you a while to get to where you can do it good but once you get it you wont forget how you may get a little rusty at times but it comes back pretty quick.
