I've been talking with john via PM's and told him I'd post the info on his cylinder he got...

figured I'd post the info in the open forum as it's the only cylinder polini sells for the derby atlantis...

here it is...

109.0009 <--- part number

looks to be a 65cc motor (not 70cc however this is normal... mine is only a 68cc)

it only has 7.3HP (according to the polini site) and it's max power RPM's are 11K

compression is 12.5:1

no worries... that's the kit you got right?

I can't possibly think it'd be something else as it's the only one available... and believe it or not... there are no aluminum cylinders out there for your scooter... at least polini ones... unless another model fits it...

Oh..is that cylinder Aluminum? Mine is cast Iron..and is also for the Derbi Hunter..as well as the Air cooled Atlantis..(Morini Motor)..I should have seen that..mine is also painted flat black on the fins and outside casting....oh it might also be several years old.(but never used)..Hmm...

no the specs above are for the cast cylinder.... there is no aluminum one out there...

The cylinder fins are black... I think all the cast ones come that way from polini (probably most companies)... I know my stock one was black looking and the corsa I got was as well...

So its not the Monster...I really didnt think it would be..I'm still looking for more lucrative employment at this time so maybe in the future I will upgrade.....The Pipe isnt the best anyway. Oh..I will be looking for a carb first ..this !#*& thing is also auto choke..Dang!!...I couldnt beat that price anyway..hehe.. ;) John

the cylinder that you have is the one and only polini you can get for your scooter... Hope malossi makes something for it?

or your stuck with it...

What type of pipe you got?

auto choke... not to terrible... heck lennox has his installed but not plugged in... (or did when he had the 19mm on) and it worked perfectly down there in florida... so you might not even need the choke...

you got it all installed yet?
or are you waiting on the crank?

yea..Im being stubborn about the crank..I found several beautiful full round cranks..(top performance) in germany..but it seems a lot of people like to ignore me or not answer their phones  ...or promise to e-mail me and a week goes by..My final recourse of action is a stock one I can get in my own state ...but I hate the stock one..UGH...I guess i will order it on monday..I am sick of waiting..and I will be done pressing in the crank bearings this weekend..I have all the gaskets now. The pipe is a leo vince handmade carbon fiber..I was told it sounds wild due to its straight design. ..as it stands I will be ready to close up the case as soon as the crank gets here..

that's a basic pipe but should work fine with the cylinder you have... I can't see you needing a high rev pipe as the rpm's work best at 11k, you can spin probably 9500 - 10K or so.. you should be golden...
