Me and Matt are wanting to get are rims powdercoated. Has anyone took the tires off there bike? Is it hard or easy? Were thinking the front tire is gonna be simple but the back tire looks hard. Any tips would be great. :)

tip #1 use the brakes to hold the back rim while loosening nut. (exhaust MUST be removed 1st)

tip #2 be gentle when removing the front rim so the disk will "slip" back into the caliper.

tip #3 use soap on tire/rim to make tire come off easier.

tip #4 be carefull with the freshly powder coated rims. They might CHIP easily?

Thanks for the info guys. but im still confused on the back wheel. dont you have to pull out the clutch to get to it? or can you do it on the other side? also, my scooter is flat black, so any sugestions as to a color for my wheels? I am thinking Neon green kinda like the derbi bullet, or maybe a candy red? let me know what you guys think?

flat black with yellow wheels would look HOT!

The exhaust side of the rear wheel is the side to do! No need to go behind the tranny cover for rear wheel removal ;)

Matt i sayed it before and i say it again go with the neon green. A bright ass color will get noticed so much. If you got the money for the candy red travis showed us then go with that. You saw what the green would look like. Its beautiful!
