Shock Length

If I find an aftermarket shock that fits my mounts..can I have a length increase?..What would be the limit? 3"....4"....I plan on shaving my mudflap off and would love that Aerox "High Tail" look.. :cool: John

I have been pondering the same thing lately. When I get some time, I am going to start "swapping" parts. With all these "parts" scooters laying around, I have a few to choose from. I'll let you know what I come up with.

One way to tell, is to remove the old shock, and just "lift" the scooter in the air to the height you are wanting the look of. See what gets pinched, or what clearances you need. You can also take a piece of small pipe, and drill holes into it and bolt it into the shock mounts. It would be a hard tail, but its just a test fit for what you're looking for so it shouldn't matter for a short ride.
