I am seriously considering the stage one performance upgrade.
can you give me your opinions on it.
$250 is a pretty penny for a part-time working, full-time student, and I want to be sure my Vegas money is being well spent.

Reading other posts, I see some are having problems, but others are very happy with it.

tell me what you think:

There are a few costumer reviews for the stage 1 kit on its product page. When your on the stage1 page just scroll down and hit the "reviews" link. Basically heres the lowdown... you'll hit 50mph pretty easy, your acceleration after 10mph will be better than stock, accelerating to 7mph will actually be slower than stock, your scoot will look damn good with the fatty crome pipe, it is a bit louder but not unbarable(to me anywho), you'll get fewer mpg than stock. I think those are the only major issues.
As for the price tag, thats all you buddy. I would definately recommend this mod if you have a couple of 45mph stretches of road. Or if you just want some extra power to play with! I do a lot of city commuting, and top speed is not a big deal for me... so the stage1 is kinda useless for my driving conditions. But it's still hellaaaaa fun makin these lil plastic scoots hit the 50ies, and thats the main reason I got mine!
People have been recieving problems lately I think because of improper installation. Thats another thing, read the directions on this site before hand! The installation itself is pretty damn easy, with the right tools (you better hope you have an impact wrench)! As for tuning, you'll get the hang of it and is pretty simple after workin on the scoot.
I hope that helps bro. If you do decide to get the kit, and have a problem or two... no worries, thats what these forums are for! :D

I was gonna leave this alone being your asking for the vino and not the Zuma..

However I do want to mention... The "problems" are mostly with the Zuma but thay aren't problems... It's just that the Zuma doesn't want to break the 50 MPH mark... Myself and a couple of others are investing our machines, time and money to try and figure the issue out...

I'm hoping the different brand of Reed Valves will make a improvement to what I had before... However I am waiting on a jet... So it's just time...
