Check out my vintage 1999 Quinqi (Kinky?) that I pulled out of a dumpster yesterday. It was siezed, but I got it to turn. The carb slide is still siezed, and there is water in the case. The tires hold air, suspension and brakes work. I only got to spend about 20 minutes with it yesterday. I have spark, so it should run with some more work.

that chain drive was a standby for a long time.
fyi; i have 6 of them i use for rentals..
tng sold those as the first generation(99-2000) venice49; many other
chinese mfgs like geeley also sold them. they will not go over
about 32mph and the big black gear in the rear of the tranny
will strip if you put over 230lbs on the scooter and go too fast
downhill.
also looks like your chain is rusty?
plus the chain guides are missing i think.

Thanks as always for the input, Harry. I have no "big plans" for this, as I don't have any of the plastics. If I can get it running, and put a plywood floorboard and headlight in there, it will be legal to ride around the neighborhood. Unless of course it was reported stolen - I'll have to run the VIN.
I think 32mph on those little 8"s will feel plenty fast. When I found it, the chaincase cover was off. Lucky it was in a bag hanging from the handgrip, with all the screws. I don't plan on riding it more than pushing distance from my house, so if the drive blows up, it won't be too much of an inconvineince.

my 6 have been fairly reliable ,
so far ,,since 2005 and average 3000 km ea -- one
scooter ate the chain and locked up the motor , a coil
or 2 have been replaced and 1 or 2 of those drive gears.
i have a part source ,, pm me for a link.
one thing is that when someone wants to try your Milano
you can give them the chain drive first and save your scoot
a mishap!!

That last point was a good one. I generally let only licenced motorcyclists try out my rides. That "policy" works pretty well. Usually licenced riders don't care so much about joyrides. Since an MC endorsement is not required in my state for 49cc's, it's not such a strong arguement. So far only my friends have ridden it, whom are all licenced riders. One of them had it run out of gas at the end of the street, and he had to push it back - oops!
