I need HELP! MAJOR HELP! I am semi-broke so i cant take it to the shop, and the local townie shop does not work on scooters.
I was messing up with the carb. I unscrewed the bottom, and took both jets out, and screwed them back in.. (Dont ask why, i dont even know why). So I screwed them back in semi-tight, and bang nothing! Nothing is happening. Scooter is running worse then ever. It is lagging like crazy, and I also blewed the spark plug.. for some reason.. i think i forgot to tighten it up. It was only luck that it didnt destroy the head.
So anyway. It is lagging. I have to ride WOT. When I let go of the throttle, major compression. When I stop, the engine stops. I've also tried to adjust Air ratio screw. Nothing :)
HELP! Please.

It sounds like maybe your float is stuck open. I would take the bowl back off and check to see if the float is working properly.

I broke a jet a while ago, and thought there was enough to put it in and hope it worked... well it didn't it let to much fuel into the carb and would die if I did anything other than idle...
if you only finger tightened the jet... then you should open it back up and get them a little tighter... to make sure there is no extra fuel getting in... even a little is a lot in these scooters... see how small the hole was... TINY!

Well, gas is not leaking anywhere. Even though, i took of air filter, and it was hole that attaches to carb was wet.. smelled like gas.
I adjusted the air screw, and gave it a lot of air. I am topping at 35mph. No lags, but when i am going down hill and let go of the throttle, and throttle it at the bottom.. it jerks me a bit..
There are two screws on carb. The main big one and to the left of it there is an oil screw. I kind of messed with it today too. How tight should it be?

there is a big screw which is your idle screw... it litterally adjusts how it idles...
the other one is the air fuel mixture screw... which you need to do plug chops to verify it is correct...
THERE IS NOT AN OIL SCREW ON THE CARBS! if you have an adjustable oil pump then it adjusts on the pump itself... not on the carb...
basically you need to adjust the idle screw till it idles correctly, then adjust the air/fuel screw to get the plug chocolate colored... you might have to change the idle screw as you change the fuel mixture screw to compensate the changed to air/fuel...

I dont know. There was a screw to the left of the idle screw. Right next to the oil cable, with oil peeking out of it. I kind of adjusted it ;) LOL!
I might be too paranoid (or stupid), but the fumes comming out of exsaust are burning hot when I rev it. I dont remember it that hot. Could it be too rich?

oil peeking out of a cable? ;no It sounds like you were adjusting the mixture screw next to the oil LINE/HOSE ;)

you have a vino, is the carb stock? If so then you only have a idle and a air/fuel mixture screw...
as for the exhaust... your feeling air from burned fuel... it's gonna be hot! No idea how hot but I can say that the air at the tip of the exhaust is probably a good couple hundred degrees...

does anybody have a picture of this? Lennox, the screw I messed with had oil behind it, so when I unscrewed it, some oil came out (underneath the oil line cable).
Its stock carb. The funny thing is, it doesnt bogg anymore, and I get 35mph now (with de-restricted Variator and Pipe). Besides the two mods i performed, everything is stock!
Where is that A-F ratio screw? Picture? Thanks guys.

great.. A/F is the screw i messed with.. why was there oil comming out of it.. or it was fuel? how would i go about adjusting this screw without spark-plug read. i do not want to mess with the spark plug anymore. If i tighten the screw, then I am adding more fuel, and if i loosen it up, i am adding more air? Right? Should I add more air and see if it runs 40mph again, if not, add more fuel :)
Thanks guys!
