Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and new to owning a scooter, always had cars to tinker on, but these things are FUN and RAD!!!!
I bought a 2004 Vino with a bent rim, so the obvious question is, where can I buy a used rim? I don't want to buy a new one for $160 or whatever, but can't find a used one anywhere. Also, while I'm changing out things, have you guys ever seen aftermarket rims, such as wire spoke for example?
Thanks a ton!!!!

I have never seen aftermarket wheels for the Vino. Wire spoke wheels were NEVER original on any scooter aside from some big wheel Honda Cub style scoots, so it's not going to give you any air of nostalgia. If you have a Vino 50 or classic, you could have the steel rims chromed - that might be cool. Vino 125 rims could be chromed or polished. Any wheel can be painted, and depending on the scheme you are going for, can give a pretty dramatic change. It's also pretty cheap to do.
As far a sources, you are looking at about $200 new for the front, half that for the rear of the 50 or classic. !25 will run you $180 front, $200 rear. You can buy a parts scooter for that kind of money, so new is probably out. Used sources depend on your area.

Yeah, haha, I left the part about it being a 50cc out. Thanks alot!! I may do that, buy a parts scooter, that seems like a good way to go, especially since I have a cracked body plastic (the piece that the seat sits on, and holds the rack and taillights), so that at $80, both those added up would equal a whole new parts scoot!!!

You can get aftermarket rims. I would just get it repaired and paint it yourself. KOSO make magnesium rims. $400 price range ,.,.dance.
