From what I can tell this is a 101cc Zuma? Right... Can't imagine it being something else that looks so closely alike...

where do they sell these bad boys? Can't be a stock set up or is Yamaha selling these in a different country?

From what I've gotten on the yahoo zuma list, the BWS is what its called in other markets, and there is a larger 100cc version.

I love this part:

Push-to-cancel-type turn signals enhance ease of use.
Front and rear side reflectors help maximize conspicuity in city traffic.

According to my spell check, conspicuity isn't even a word. I'm, going to add a few of my own though.

Tires for that, I'm on a motor vehicle look
Brakes for stopping in traffic
Temporal Matrix Vortex for spiting thy enemies back in time
Fuzzy dice for the nostalgic effect
A conventionality place beverage hold under the seat

speaking of beverage holder... I want one somehow... DArn drive thru drinks are such a pain to hang onto when riding... not to mention dangerous... anyone added one to their scooter?

Where? I was thinking of in front of the seat, between where your legs go...

Pics anyone?

I have been thinking about this 100 since I first heard about them a few months ago.

100cc 2 stroke would be NICE!!!

I love how they have the picture using it as an off-road bike.

Mexico model BW100 (Zuma) listed as 10hp. Shows a 49cc "Stunt" at 4.9hp. It looks like a rebodied Zuma. Price is not listed on either.
Mex does show an "Axis 90" that is also built on the same platform with a 82cc 7.5hp motor. It doesn't have fat tires. Is priced at $17,990 Mex ($1,582 USD)

So's the Columbian one (10hp that is). Columbian price $5049.90 ($2157 USD). They don't have the BW50 for price comparison..

There's a Jog RS 100 for Taiwan, but I can't read prices or horsepower.

Looks like Mexico is the place to get an RS100. If anybody's heading that way, I'll take one.

Hey Jered - I've got 2 different drink holders that both work well on the Zuma. www.boatus-store.com sells several - but the grippt is a small mesh holder that hold on with suction cups - and fits in the dash when not in use. http://www.boatus-store.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=20002&langId=-1&catalogId=20002&productId=99325

For the really big drinks I use a Nalgene
http://www.nalgene-outdoor.com/store/subcategory.asp?categorysubcategorycode=62 insulated bottle holder on my left handgrip. They have one that just has a big flap that connects back with velcro... :)

I have Nalgene made Camelbak. I'd like to have a real Camelbak, but the Nalgene works just as well. Saves my *** in these muggy Maryland summers.

I don't live near the boarder, Lennox, but I live near a Taco Bell, does that count? No wait that's not making a ruin for the boarder, that;'s making a run for the porcelain or Jered's avatar.

I'd like to see a 500cc Zuma called the Ultra Zuma.

Don't know how you can get more durable than a Camelbak, both the US Military and many law enforcement agencies use them. Hell, I got to play with a US Navy Seals model that a buddy of mine had at Ft. Meade! Damn, you Air Force boys must REALLY play rough :)

I tried to use Elise as one, but she didn't like that and hid the Vino keys for six hours. Last time I ever pulled the you shall be subservient because you are my wife line again. Next time she may cut off the ATM and bedroom! Man, some women have no sense of humor! :p

Let you know what he says:

2002 Yamaha BWS 100 - Looking for a buyer for my non-U.S. spec BWS (Zuma) 100 2-stroke. I have installed just about every part available from the Malossi catalog, including a 124 cc cylinder kit, Dellorto carb w/manifold, reed cage, variator kit, gears, kevlar belt, clutch, and a Leo Vinci Handmade ZX exhaust. This entire package was purchased from the UK, and it's tuned perfectly. The scoot is in great condition and needs nothing except for someone to ride it! It's always kept in a dry garage, and I've only used it for pleasure riding, not commuting through rain and what not. It currently has approximately 4100km, and only about 1000km since the upgrades. It will cruise very easily at 50-55 mph, and I\'ve seen over 70 mph (120 kph) top speed. Things could get very interesting with some basic cylinder porting! The biggest difference between this scoot and all the 70cc kitted ones is that this is a low stress engine (101 Minarelli) and will last a very long time because it doesn't have to turn ridiculous RPM's to make power. Good mid-range torque. Besides, the basic engine is more robust than a 50 (14mm piston pin, thicker engine castings, larger pulleys and gears, etc.) I currently have this scoot registered as a moped in Michigan, and no one would know the difference just by looking at it. It's quite compact and weighs about 180 lbs. Color is Yamaha racing blue (same as the YZF series sport bikes) with white decals. I can e-mail some photos to anyone who\'s interested. This is a great opportunity to own a fast, fun and unique scooter. Although I'd love to keep it, I need to make room for other projects that I've started. I'm asking $2100 for it.

Called some shipping companies- $504 door-to-door service...

That takes me to $2600... $300 less than my Derbi before the stage III kit!

Still working on it.. Detroit -to- Maryland, anyone going that route any time soon?

marylandmark

Looking even better....

Dude offered to pay 1/2 of shipping of the get go...

No easy answers here. I've had a couple of scooters shipped before, but it was with a purpose-built crate, and it was dock-to-dock. Still ran over $300. Dayton Freight is usually pretty good.

Another option, I don't know how far you are willing to drive, but I could meet you about a 1/2 hour South of Columbus, OH. in Circleville. shouldn't be more than 5 or 6 hours for you depending on where you're coming from. I race scooters with the ESRA, and I'll be at that track several times this year, starting this weekend (Apr 17th.)

Frankly, I'd prefer to do a face-to-face transaction, as I've sold a couple of scooters in the last year and I've run into countless scams along the way. So no offense, but I'm a bit weary.

The BWS is tagged as a scooter here in MI, and it was a piece of cake. Having it already registered as such would make a transfer even easier, I'm sure.

I've attached a couple of pics. Let me know if you have any other questions. If you absolutely must have it shipped, I could meet you half-way on the cost of shipping.

I may have missed it in the stats on the scoot, but is that a standard BWS seat and if so will it fit a 2005 US Zuma? I like the flat look (I'm 6'1" and feel better sitting towards the rear when I ride).

Not sure if it is stock or not- the picture posted on the 1st post of this thread show a seat just like the one above...

I am in the process of trying to find out how to get this scoot to my house once I buy it but from the looks of it she'll be mine shortly!

I would think at 124cc this thing should have more than 70MPH in her without a problem...

Conspicuity is most definately a word used in the trucking industry/3M to describe their diamond reflective trailer tape...a search of reflective tape sites will show this word in common usage.

If anyone knows anything about where you can get the cases from let me know,or if you know what parts the cases can take. I'm sure my bike will be up there with the fastest but a 125 would be something to have. Sounds like a plan for later if I could get the cases. Just for fun. heh :naught:
