im not certain as i have not opened up my zuma but... there should be a pick up for that coil, maybe that pick up has come loose or its wires got cut.. cdi unit also controls spark so that may be the culprit too no? im sure lennox or jered can direct you with better guidance. good luck
oh the plug wires can and do go bad, sections where the spark plug attaches to the wire that some times break and no more spark.

give some history... If I remember correctly you have spark coming from the plug when you had the plug removed from the cylinder... right?
Fill in more details and we'll see what we can do for you...
compression, fuel and spark... with those your golden... so lets see which it is...

is your CDI stock or upgraded?
I also, just noticed... your talking about a geely?
Sorry but I have to say... you really should just replace it... this is a typical geely issue... NOT WORKING PERIOD...
Which is bad for you but....
Anyway, check to make sure your CDI wires are all plugged in... and the handle bar kill switch is working properly and in the "ON" (not kill) possition...

The typical Geely problem is that they are made EXTREMELY cheap and seam to have a lot of problems in general...
Unfortunately most people who buy them pick them up at their local parts stores and stuff or weird locations... and there is not a place to take them for service even if your warrenty is still current...
My honest advice if you want a scooter to ride for any amount of time, get a different brand and a name brand at that... geely are simply the YUGO of scooters.. maybe even worse...

yea well im going back to Ny real soon, in fact at any time and i dont know what to do with it not like i sell it cuz wont start, so can also be the CDI (what is a cdi?) or coil that wont let a scooter start? if so then that helps me pin point the problem, i found a site that sells geely parts and they not alot well cheaper then most sites but i put in now as is pass 425$ in it and a cdi be 59 so not sure what to do, the engine is good and the trans
yea i know geely was crap but i still went for it cuz was thinking maybe it will get me by for two months but craped after 2 weeks, i was looking on a parts site, what does a "STARTER RELAY" do/is? its cheap like 10 bucks

the starter relay is needed on the yamaha scooters cause they are different than many scooters with that the Ground kills the CDI unit and shuts the bike off...
I don't know if the geely needs it or not... But your scooter has a 1 month warrenty... might try to contact Geely and see if you can get it serviced under the warrenty... Since it lasted all of 2 weeks...
I'm not sure where the CDI is on your scooter but it's a little black box that has 5 or so wires coming from it... on the zuma, 3 are single wires and one is a "plug" with 2 wires in it... if the ground wire is off of the zuma it will not start..
anyway, check the wires and see if it has one unplugged... hopefully it's that simple and you can plug it back in... and use pliers to pinch the connection to make it stay better...

A starter relay is an electromechanically actuated switch. Since electric starter motors draw a LOT of current the start switch on your handlebar couldn't handle the current without having huge wires running to it ( and a hefty switch as well). When you push the start button it actuates the start relay which is on or near your starter. The relay closes a hefty switch which in turn passes current to your starter motor.
If your starter cranks your start relay is fine.
CDI is Capacitive Discharge Ignition. In other words, electronic ignition. It's an LBB (Little Black Box). A bad CDI will keep it from running, yes.
