i guess i just answered my own question thru a little internet reading.

S1 Michelin road tire come in several sizes but 4 by 10 is 120/90-10
also they have 3.5 and 3 inch

S83 is more knobbly and closer to stock looking

Bridgestone Molas another sticky good tire but much more money than S1 120/90-10

Continental Zippy cheaper than S1 but looks nice, like road race tire, i only see a 3.5 by 10 though... doesnt say how tall it is.

and finally I think I will buy this one.
Pirelli SL26 another sticky road tire come is 120/90-10 and 130/90-10 price is really comparable to S1 too :)
since it looks pretty close to my other yama pirelli dragon i think, i think manufacture loyalty is in order

Those ones that your talking about are for the Vino... not the zuma... so don't order them... erich might catch it but if not you'll have spent money on a part that won't fit... and definately wasted shipping money...

The S1 tires sold on Provo are not ZUMA tires... they are Vino only....

it's got 10" rims but the total diameter is smaller than the zuma...

I actually did the same thing you did... but I actually ordered the things... S1's... erich caught it as I had been buying a lot of zuma stuff and was thrown with me buying vino tires... so he emailed and asked why the vino tires when I only had a zuma...

They are 10" but total diameter the vino's tires are smaller than the zuma... and also skinnier...

go with the tires on the new zuma page on the sales site... you'll be good to go then...

http://www.provoscooter.com/vbull/showthread.php?t=1806 look here for a conversion chart... it'll explain the size differences.

the 3" tires are more like a 80/100-10 tire....

compaired to the 130/90-10's needed on a zuma

thanks that helps alot, i dont know about kings tires though.. not a real known company u know.. i would prefer michelin or pirelli or dunlops... kings.. hmmmm

has anyone been able to fit a 140/90-10 of the rear for zuma?? that would be like an upgear kit... but free..

you know king put larger tires on his vino than everyone else has...

I don't see why you couldn't, if you can find them... basically the same concept as the vino, adding a larger S1 tire adds an inch or so more tire size.. and adds more top end even though the speedo reads the same or lower speeds than before...

I'd also imagine the prices being the same for the 2 tire sizes... so basically you'd have to try them and see... though I don't see an issue with a single tire size difference or two... unless you have a tight (snug up to the tire) exhaust on it... then you might hit the exhaust...

http://www.provoscooter.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=33&products_id=159 these are Michelin tires... not the king's ones...

i saw that reggea tire but that states its a long wear... for a two wheel stuff i prefer short wear... the Pirelli SL26, or Conti, or S1 in the right size.. if provo doesnt carry them i can get them from somewhere else i guess...

i think i will order those 140/90-10 and see... as for the front.. i may go up one size from stock too...

ill let u guys know what i buy and how it goes.. i think the mph gain is very minimum though.. im probably looking at 1 or 2mph probably :(

Also the Michelin S83's are a more classic looking tire for that vintage look for Vespa/Lambretta styling - they are not knobby or for off road use.
