Introducing the Defiant, a scooter powered by an American big twin 100-cubic-inch engine. The step-through design and the underseat engine give the creation its scooter label, but this scooter is 6 inches longer than a Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail, and produces a claimed 100 horsepower. It's still in the prototype stage now, but soon, Vetter hopes to sell kits that will allow others to ride his creation.

To be honest all my user names have been Lord Nikon because I'm a pro photog, that uses Nikon gear, but since I have some time with PC's and am a sci-fi geek, I was a fan of the movie Hackers who had this big black hacker named Lord Nikon, so when I created my Provo account, I stayed along the same lines, Lord Nikon, King Vino, but don't fret, I'll never be Princess Vespa :D

Florida Derbi--it might be an old Salisbury scooter - looks like the writing on the right rear fender starts with an "S"
(I think that's a Salisbury on my current avatar)

Do you have any more information or links about the MP3 being released here in the US? I actually kind of like it. Enough ommph, at least with the 250 to not only get out in front of and stay out of the way of traffic, but enough cc's to safely and legally cruze on any hiway including Freeways without 'having' to mod the snot out of it. The quality and dealer support of Piaggio as opposed to a a chinese clone assembled in the US (Vento, UM). Lockable underseat storage for TWO full face helmets, and then some. The ability to pull up to a light and NOT have to put your foot down. And a WOW factor that will outshine even the priceyest sport bike, at least until the novelty of a three wheeler wears off. Not to mention a suposidly very stable, safe and agile ride.
