I got a set of Malossi CF reed valves... Paid $16.75 off of eBay... Just thought it was a great price...

They were exact fits and modding needed... Even with a damaged jet I think it ran better than the other set I had... The other ones were a square piece of CF, and I had to trim the edges to make them fit... I think they needed to be trimmed much more to make them like the stock metal shape... However I didn't do that to them...

The auction is closed but you might be able to email and get them for the same price of $16.75 (included shipping and insurance)...

damien-7@earthlink.net is his email address... The link to the ebay listing is

Like I said the auction is over but if you were thinking about CF reed valves and didnt want to fork out mad cash... This is a great price for name brand ones...

How is the scooter running with them on?

except my jet is still broken...

I can start my scooter... However with only one ring of threads on the jet... Fuel is going by via the threads and it's not running above idle correctly...

THIS IS DUE TO THE JET... Not the reed valves...

I can give it gas and it would barely rev up before it choked itself with the old reed valves and with the new ones I actually spun the tire...

I'd love for this to have been my issues with not being able to GO.... I'll let you know in a few weeks when I get the jet... I'm gonna try and get a 95 from Erich to get rolling again... Then worry about final tuning with the bigger jet later...

Well till you get it going, Elise said she will pray to Buddha, and I'll do a go-go dance each night before bed, bro.

actually i got my cf reed valves alread... installed and ready for my main jet.... once again erich to the rescue...

the stickers were nice too... i need more body parts for the scooter... no more room for the stickers...

the reed valves help stablize the fuel flow. keeps a steady and solid stream at higher rpm's

A reed valve is just that a valve. when air/fuel go into the crankcase, the piston comes down and pushes the fuel back against the reeds/cage to create compression.

Carbon reed dont fatige and are quicker than steel
