I just installed the stage1 kit...

I installed the var, exhaust and wasn't able to get the "huge nut" off the
clutch...

1-10mph was sluggish, but everything else ok...

today I was able to get that nut off and installed the new torque spring.

1-10mph still sluggish, everything else the same.

I didnt get clutch springs in my kit (I wrote provo about it)... would putting
those in help the 10mph "slug"?

any other (cheapish) upgrades to do next?

You must have the clutch springs. Once you get that squared-away things will be much better. Then you'll have to adjust vario weights. Then it's time to pull out the credit card and get serious.

Pinky is absolutely right... you must put the stiffer springs in your clutch. Your new pipe makes a bunch more power than your stock pipe at high RPM's, but it makes less power than your stock pipe at low RPM's. The new clutch springs keep the clutch from engaging until your engine is at a higher RPM.
