they are from dealers in S america. Mexican dealers might even have them. But they are def not from the US, hence the high prices. If he paid 40$ each for shipping, im sure hes passing that on to the consumer.

OKAY, if we can come up with a part number, I am pretty sure I can get some. Shipping is going to be VERY expensive though.
How many people would be interested in one? No guarantees, just trying to get an idea if it is practical or not.

i'm pretty sure that I had read before that even street price before shipping is almost 80$. so after importing them etc, 125$ isnt that far off.

My friends family is coming here to Florida in 2 weeks. If I act fast enough, shipping might not be an issue?????

ok, as it stands now, "they" are going to go into a Yami dealer, and ask for a stock speedo for a BW's and go from there. And yes "smuggling" :--- would seem to be the best way.

If the offer still stands, I would 'really like' to get my hands on one.
I am in Ft Liquerdale too!
Does any one know if the face has a MPH instead of the 'Kilometers per Hour'?

nope the face is KPH only... however, on the back of the guage there are 2 screws... which you can pull the plastic cover off the front...
with that being said...
pull the plastic (clear) cover off, use a MPH/KPH converter (easy to find via google) and Permenent parker the MPH speeds according to the KPH converter... pretty easy to do...
I was gonna do my stock one and guess the speeds to 70mph on it but I don't think above 40 it's very accurate on the US spec speedo....

I have a BWs 100 speedo that's installed on my '02 bugeye. I picked it up in Guatemala for about $80. It is a simple swap out and goes to about 140km. There are no MPH markings. It is suprisingly pretty much right on w/ my GPS. Mexico would certainly have them.

Got any contacts there that can ship me a BWS 100?
