As most of you know, I go to my local Seminole Indian casino alot. Let me share a quick story about Friday nights visit.
$1 out of every poker pot goes into a kitty that is called the "Bad beat jackpot" Whenever an awesome hand is beaten by another awesome hand, this is a bad beat. The jackpot is usually around 80k-90k. The person with the awesome that gets beat, gets %40 of the jackpot. The person with the best hand that beat the other guy, gets %30 of the jackpot. The rest of the table then splits the remaining %30.
On Friday night, my friend Kip Had 4 kings, and beat a guy that had Aces over Kings full house. THIS IS A BAD BEAT!!!! Now, for the ****py part of the story. Someone hit the jackpot earlier in the day Friday, so the pot reset. Instead of 80k-90k it was only $7500ish. The "other" guy got $3800, my buddy Kip got $1800, and the rest of the table $200 each. I was at the table, and collected my $200, but I SURE DO WISH that it was at the 90k like usually!!!! Oh well. Now that I broke the ice, it is only a matter of time before it happens again.
