Whitewall Tire Recommendation?

For those of you running the Sava whitewalls on your Vino, do you guys have the standard road tread (the more vintage looking style) or are you running the whitewalls with the modern sport tread as I've found two different kinds of whitewalls that Sava makes. Are there any disadvantages/advantages for each respective type of tread?
Also in terms of comparing whitewalls, which brand is more recommended, the Sava or Continentals? Are the Continentals really worth $20 more than the Savas just to have a larger whitewall?
I've also read that Bridgestone makes a whitewall, how do these stack up to the other two and does anyone know of an online retailer for these?

I have not gotten to putting white walls on my scoot yet, but this topic has been talked a lot about in the past. From what I hear, the vintage tread pattern is as good as the modern tread patterns. I assume the advantage of the sport tread pattern is, better handling.

As for sava vs. continental, the continentals are MUCH better. If your serious about your scoot, you should go with the continentals. I went to two scooter shops, one said they won't even sell savas anymore and both said they've had customers have their sava white wall tear off the tire itself. But those are scooterist who ride their scoots day in and day out. If your scoot is more of a secondary form and transportation, the savas should be fine.

I didn't know BridgeStone sold whitewalls :confused: .

- Thanks Davey-boi! That's the info I wanted to know. As my Vino is my primary mode of daily transportation to and from school I guess I might as well splash down the 150 bucks for the set of continentals (I just needed the 3rd party affirmation that I was indeed getting the better product).

- King Vino: My sincerest apologies if it looked like I was asking a redundant question (I actually did exhaust the search function and read every page of every thread with the mention of Sava(s)/Continental(s)/Whitewall(s)/etc.) but I couldn't find any mention of the pros and cons of sport vs. traditional tread let alone mentioning that Savas had the 2 options. Plus, after searching through the 3 threads with "continental" in them (only 1 pertained to the whitewalls), it wasn't readily apparent (to me at least) if the price of the continentals were justified.

...I thought I was asking a novel question that would have contributed to the breadth of info related to the topic... :o
