Hey everyone, Rich here. I just started scooting a week ago! Got myself a 2001 Yamaha Vino for getting around town and to work. Got it used, but the guy it came from was pretty kind to it and it still runs great! Hopefully won't need any big work anytime soon. But I'm also very baaaaaad with mechanics! So I'm sure you'll see me asking questions pretty soon, too!
Happy scooting!

Welcome to the scooting world and the forum!Nice scoot and I feel you it's nice to buy second hand when the previous owner has taken care of it.Bought a bike like that once...owner would clean the motor up with a toothbrush after every run...

Looks clean! scooters are a great way to learn about mechanics because they are pretty simple (especially the two-strokes) and really fun to work on. I would recommend taking the time to learn more about your scooter whenever something breaks. We'e here to help, and welcome!

I'd show you my gas cap, but then my gas hole would be exposed.

It really is a good looking scoot. My dad's first Vino was that color combo. The second (a 125) was silver and black. Both were real sharp, but I liked the first one more.
