Is this sound normal after the restrictor/govenor is removed?

I just had the restrictor near the belt removed, and when the scooter is idling it sounds like the motor is super loud and knocking. This sound goes away as soon as I give it some gas. Is this normal?

Are you sure it was a restrictor? I doubt it's normal to have odd noise. I would take it appart again and recheck the job just incase. Wouldn't want to be stranded...

the sound is coming from the variator , something is loose
remove and re install .
