Ok, I'm getting PM's and emails left and right with suggestions. I'm pretty much in the mindset personally that I think we have an ideal number of forums for the membership we have at the moment, I do realize that we have gained about sixty members in a week, and I expect that this number will continue to grow, essentially if I continue to plug and post in other boards devoted to scootering to increase membership. So here's what I've heard so far. Keep in mind, forums come down to Erich not me. It's his board, I just keep the seat warm for him :)
I edited the poll to close in 31 days instead of 30. Closing on 9-11 is a bad omen IMO besides 9-12 is Elise's Bday :p

I think rider reviews and the cafe are two great ideas! The reviews would be awsome for newbies, and the cafe' just sounds cool haha. Kinda with I thought of em myself......

"Other Scooters" might be a good catch all topic for the um.. other scooters.

66 members and only 7 people have voted. I'm a little disappointed because so far most of the folks who have PM and emailed me have not voted!

I think that some people are confused on where to go to look for threads...
1st day I searched through all the threads when I logged on..
Now I click the handy little "NEW POSTS" link at the top (in the blue banner)... oh how handy it is... I see all the new threads and can check them all out in a matter of minutes...
Then get to the old stuff afterwords...

Yeah, I do that too sometimes, but usually I go through everything regardless.

I think it'd be a good idea to have a thread where we can post, yamaha and other retailers...
IE: I want to get a Vino but there are none in STATE (alaska)... I'd like to know where to go (from others good fortune) to see if they'd hook me up with shipping one here from another state...
However I don't want to go much over the MSRP of $1799 for a 04 or 05... I'd even assemble it if need be... And worry about the license and all on my own here.
anyone know a good place that might go for this?

I would lvoe to see a General topic forum, and I wish there was a reviews forum. I know I have at least 1 I'd like to submit.

There needs to be a "local" club area as well...
Like listed by state: to allow scootR guys and gals to find a club in their local area... Or to post about on they are in...
Just a though

That really would not be a forum, but more of an article to go under the top bars.

there is a spot on the main page about clubs but.. .It'd be cool to have a state by state listing of clubs...

I'm not sure about that old link. I noticed it back in the day, but if you hit it, it went to the forums (old). I'm guessing it was a place holder that Erich put in for future use.

personally, I've got a 2001 Zuma, and I am blown away by the total lack of aftermarket support for it. I would think that in this age of internet sales, customization, etc that there would be a TON of aftermarket parts available. Perhaps I just don't know where to look, but most of what I've found has been European sites written in Swedish or something. I would love to be able to have a forum or list of sites that have aftermarket parts for the Zuma.

That would really be more of an article than a forum. In a way that would kind of undermine Erich and Provo as well. Since this board serves are a support network to Provoscooter and the online store within. It would sort of be a long the same lines of walking in to McDonald's to pick up discount coupons for Burger King. While I'd like to see these forums grow beyond that, I'd hate to see people forget that the forums are part of the online store.

I see your point, but this McDonalds only sells French Fries and Shakes,... but I want a hamburger.. so what's the harm in asking for a good place to buy a hamburger? :)

hey now... Mcd's paid my wife for a long time... They paid decent too... Store managers get that nice pay... However when it came down to it... We adopted our 2nd kid and she walked in and handed her keys, mcd's credit card and escape (ford suv) keys to the area manager and walked out!
Family first you know!
Anyway, I do agree... Erich is just being awesome by allowing his customers to use this forum... Even though people have talked crap (when it wasn't erich's fault) as there opinions changed after they asked for help...
PROVO ROCKS AND LOVE THIS PLACE! ALL HAIL ERICH! HIP HIP HORAY! :p

I was using the analogy for the sake of discussion. Personally, I think Erich has always granted all of us a lot of slack for having discussions and links to his competition. We send a link to another store, it's food off his table.
Any case getting back on topic, what other forums? We're running out of time before I submit the results to Erich! I wish more people would actually vote, we have 100 members and yet I only see the regulars and the core members voting.
