I want to do the dual headlight mod but when I do a search, the links don't work for me. It tells me I don't have access. I would like the option of both high or both low if possible.
Thanks,

If they are links to our forum, then post them in this thread and I'll get them to work. Some parts of the site still need updating since the upgrade.

Ok, heres the deal. We are working on inputting all the old articles in to a Wiki. I had already done that one, and here is the link: http://www.provoscooter.com/wiki/doku.php?id=forum_articles:zuma_dual_headlight_mod . The second link is just to one of the photos that is included in that wiki article. I pm'd you a link to the original article in case you needed to see the comments.

Thanks for the link. Does this mod give you 2 highs and 2 lows respectively?

Yes it will. A new thread should be done to see if this mod is reliable by users that have done it and used for a while.

Why wouldn't it be reliable? I'm using the stock 35w bulbs.

Well with the dual headlight mod you now have 2 35 watt bulbs = 70 watts if both lights are on.it will be using twice the power almost 6 amps.
Why wouldn't it be reliable? I'm using the stock 35w bulbs.

i fixed the broken link.
I believe the probelm is that when you post a link it shortens it with the ... but the forums software still knows the whole link. you must have copied the link as show from the previous post in stead of re entering the entire link again. which is http://www.provoscooter.com/wiki/doku.php?id=forum_articles:zuma_dual_headlight_mod

So.... Where are we here? I've got a new zuma125 with a 55/60 watt light setup. It must have an upgraded electrical system. Is the hookup still the same? You wouldn't think that two 35wt bulbs on high will drain my battery. I'll be at my Dealer's shop tomorrow & ask their mechanic (probably the best one in a hundred mile radius.) for some input and get back with you.....Gabe::usa::

I rode the hundred mile round trip today to my Dealer to have some work done.Had the dual headlight mod done. My mechanic came up with what looked like a Service Bulletin, (5-6 sheets of paper stapled together.) that showed him exactly what wire to pick out of the wiring harness, and how /where to connect it to make both headlights work on low and high beam. Both of the bulbs were 55W/60W installed at the factory with the low side connected on one, the high on the other.... Now I have two 55W bulbs working on low and two 60W on high! I'm a lot harder to miss! When asked about having enough Power to keep the battery charged he said that there was more than enough, that there'd been no trouble with the new YW125Y Zumas.... I maxed out speedwise straight and level on the way home at 60mph indicated passing through 375 miles.... My Dealer's got the right set of rollers on the way to relax the gearing for the best top speed vs pulling power that we'll put in at the 600 mile check.... Mpg up to 68.12 with the windshield (from about 63mpg....) Also had a rear carrier and topcase installed that my XXXXL full face helmet will fit in!:D More as it happens. Ride Safe!! Gabe::usa::
