Hi! I'm currently riding a 50cc Zuma and looking to get a 125 and was curious if anyone has calculated their actual mpg, I'm skeptical of the advertised 89.

new scooter, until you get about 1000 miles on it, ur gas milage will suck. when I first got my Vino 125 i was in the 65mpg range for the first 500 miles or so and then it went up and now I get around 100 mpg....I will be getting a Zuma 125 next month

Different riding conditions have yielded different results for me. 140lb rider, bit of gear.
65mpg on one tank of basically all WOT 55-60mph riding.
94mpg with 30 miles WOT and the rest being city.
101mpg all in-town riding.

Gas mileage depends on a lot of factors. How you ride the scooter, how much weight you carry, the type of climate you ride in, the altitude you ride in, the type of terrain you ride in, etc etc. The Mfgs suggested gas mileage for scooters is rated at an intermediate speed on a flat surface.

Just another addition:
28 mile commute one-way. Mostly 40-50mph but generally not over 50. Some city. Averaging 88-90mpg.

I just got a brand new one, gas tank came full. I drove 93 miles until the gauge was empty and was scared I was going to run out of fuel, and was able to put in exactly 1 gallon until it was full. I will see what the mileage is on next fillup and calculate but im guessing in the high 85's

2nd fillup same 1 gallons I put in and calculated at 88mpg. But I was riding harder but thats how I usually ride. Better then my 2 stroke zuma at 50mpg

Now with my 155cc I get 71 mpg, not much less then the stock engine

That's what my Z155 is getting too, running 70mph top speed
indicated...::usa::

I finally got a ncy exhaust, slightly larger output then stock but can barely break 65 has to be perfect conditions no wind
always can get up to 61 sometimes up slight hills which is way cool compared to the 125

I got an oversized airbox to throttlebody duct, + a low restriction mesh exact replacement, airfilter, from Chris Cey, at RaceConcept on Facebook, that helped much with the rich running above 55-57mph. I was finally able to afford his "Forceworks" adjustable fuel control, that shows the best mixture. (A light flashes) Which raised top speed to 7omph indicated. ::usa::

right now I cant afford the $240 for the fuel controller so I have to leave the tb stock
plus I love the quiet exhaust so it worked out with the NCY I didnt have to change anything with it, that was a concern before
feul control would be the next performance upgrade with a slightly larger tb nothing to crazy as long as one of my injectors will be able to work out as long as I dont have to change the valves or cam, im not into digging into the engine unless necessary
I try to get my parts from chris too the ones I cant find in the USA

If you'll remove the snorkleheaded air intake tube from your airbox.(Behind your airfilter, not to be confused with the similar shaped duct, connecting your throttlebody to your airbox.)And, pull the metal plate from behind your airfilter. You'll gain a good bit of midrange pulling power, along with several mph, perhaps 2mpg, & It won't cost you anything! ::usa::

I forgot to say I have the simota air filter so I dont use the stock
I know about that tube, I have it in still
its not much of a size difference but I think its for intake noise reduction so that why I leave it in
ive tried a unifilter clamped inside, then took out that rubber tube but saw no gains but more noise
but with the 125cc doing that I could swear my acceleration was slower, if any top speed was gained I could not tell
I think I also tried with the front air box cover off with uni filter but also no gains and super loud but on the 125cc
I figure if my tb intake tube is whatever size it is, enlarging the opening the air goes into the filter wont help because the tb and intake tube is still small
now if I got a larger intake tube, and tb then I can see making the hole larger in front of the filter to allow more air in

I saw the gains I was talking about, with the stock airfilter. I didn't go with the Simota, until I was able to install a 28mm intake, throttlebody, and high lift cam...Much better power & speed, but still running rich. I finally got the oversized duct, and installed it along with the simota airfilter, ran it like that for several months, B-4 I was able to put the forceworks F/C in the system. All that's left is a braided steel brake hose, for better stopping from 65mph, and a set of Michelin Boppers. ( The OEM rear tire is starting to go bald at 6,500 miles!)::usa::

my bbk has no high lift cam
and with the 4 hole injector I guess its slightly rich, with stock exhaust
not as rich as the 10 hole and cam
only $215 for the bbk and injector nothing else needed to be done so it was a very inexpensive kit and easy to install, I read the cam takes a little more work, more tools I didnt want to attempt that yet, but can be done later too if needed
so I really cant do to much more with the intake without taking care of the fuel, my plug looks perfect tan
when stock 125 it was black so im not as rich as stock but in the good zone
I think I have 4200 and my rear is very close to the weak marks, I think later this year it will change and ive already ordered new sets just not sure when I will put them on
