Polini Corsa/Race 70cc cast iron cylinder (12HP rated by Polini)
Mikuni 24mm carb, Don't know a whole lot about this yet... it's actually going on the scooter the week of the 22nd of Feb, will have to figure out jetting and such...
Performance intake, Not sure of the brand but will post when I figure it out (oh yeah it's a 28mm intake so I had to work some magic to make it fit the 24mm carb)
performance reed cage- with fiberglass reeds (will change to carbon fiber soon)
performance airbox, came with my 19mm carb and will probably have to go as I'm sure it will not fit the 24mm carb I now have!
Polini "For Race" exhaust, Pretty nice pipe... looks good, sounds good and appears to make it rip...
Malossi Delta Clutch, Good gripping power, a little bit of a pain to "tune in" but works well
Malossi CF Reed Valves, ( Will go into my new reed cage when I swap the carbs)
Malossi Brake Pads, Duh, you go faster you should be able to stop better... on;y made since to upgrade the pads!
Malossi CDI unit, Just another piece of the puzzle!
Malossi upgears 13/44 (67-8375), makes for a nicer top speed
Malossi Over Range Tranny Kit (61-11123), This is a bad part! I love it... makes the bottom end rip... Definately worth the $350ish price tag!
Malossi Winged bell... safety for the over range kit! the stock one can BLOW UP! due to Extreme RPM's...

Why 50cc? If your gonna change it, why not go bigger?

Thanks Lennox
An aftermarket 50cc is pretty good. It is quieter than 70cc, easier in terms of tuning the carb, jetting, and more margin for error. Stock carb with 82 main is sufficient. Gas milage is not bad. Reliability is not an issue.
Of course, the downsize is speed and power. But I am not a person asking for insane speed. So it is pretty cool. Beside, I can peg the speed on flat, enough powers on hills.
My next project, as I am looking into now is to fit the Vin0125 parts in the Zuma. I think the Zuma fram will fit the crankcase/drive train and cylinder. It seems it is a feasible idea. I just need to find cheap parts and a cheap mechanic person.

Note, s-mods, if people vote and you change or modify the poll, especially with listing of the person who voted, they can not go in and edit their vote.

i did a stage 1 kit wich has been reliable and working well for 10,000 miles, at first chewed up belts with technomoto vari, i have a technigas exhaust top speed arou 47mph, i had another one modded out to stage two same set up except carb modification and airsal-t-6 was hitting speed almost 60mph ..then it shredded a stock belt at the same time a circlip came lose and scratched all the way up and down the cylinder and cut the piston ring. I am now only going to leave the modded carb and put in a new t-6 this time circlips facing down and leave everything else stock and see how reliable the set up is if it is like my other partially modded zuma it will be worth it

I don't own a Zuma myself. I tune scooters. I have tuned several Zumas. My favorite set up is Athena or Stage 6 70cc cylinder kit, Athena crank, 21mm manual choke Dell Orto (Metrakit, Polini etc. are also Dell Orto Design) carb with 90 main jet, K&N or Uni filter, Leo Vince ZX expansion chamber, 4.1gram vario weights in the standard variator, yellow (1500rpm) clutch springs and the gear up kit. This gives a top speed of 65mph (per Garmin GPS) and it will out accelerate my Lambretta 150 Uno. Fuel consumption suffers greatly though.
