Sweet Aerox! How big of an N2o shot is it, and is it that noticeable? Like Kick in the pants instant?

the NOS is cool but it's pretty overkill for a street scooter plus it's a dry shot so you can use it only in short bursts or risk burning a piston.

overall you got a nice scooter there.

Hey guys. Thanx for the nice comments! I've worked hard on my little machine. Overrev, I love the comment the NOS is cool but it's pretty overkill for a street scooter hahaha....
It's a bit presumptuous to say that i'll burn a hole in my piston - are you saying I don't know how an A/F mix works? Yes it is a dry shot (for the moment) but this can be overcome by a combination of jetting rich, using a very small N2O feed and pulling the choke lever when I hit the NOS button. I'm working on rigging up a small fuel pump and solenoid that will trigger at the same time, thus enabling me to run a bigger shot. Using the procedure above I reckon it's giving an extra 1-2hp. Not much but as a street scooter i'm keeping it fairly conservative. Personally I think NOS actually works very well for a street tune - the extra power is there when you want it and it allows you to run a modest replica 70cc 2-ring kit for durability. The rep kit that i'm running at the moment has been going for about 7000km's without new rings or piston. And it hasn't seemed to have dropped power. I was able to verify this by riding a customers' Aerox who had just done the rep kit, carb and other stuff pretty much to the same spec as my bike and I couldn't tell much of a difference. It's all very well to throw a bunch of race parts at a bike and go fast for a couple hundred k's but i'm not keen on the constant rebuilding and sky-high rpm and noise the goes with it.

Still trying to find the time to do some proper tuning with the NOS (and do the wet shot conversion) and when I do i'll do a G-tech run and post the graphs. It's pulling about 8kw at the back wheel at the moment without the NOS.

Rock on.
