Torched the living **** out of the exsaust.. Lots of fire came out, and smoke. I was so happy seing that thing dissapear from my exhaust. The muffler dude velded that hole I drilled.
I also bought 3 new spark plugs, just in case. No body sold them except O'Reilly Autoparts. (BPR7HS)
Today, I also replaced the spark plug. The old spark plug was somewhat destroyed. BLACK, and you could see oil on it and carbon. The spacing was off, tho.
MY PROBLEM IS:
The scooter still runs bad! WOT at ~30mph! I've also noticed that when I gas it, sometimes it would disengage the gear, and put it in gear and jerk me. Please don't tell me something is wrong with the clutch. The other thing is, the kickstart ?rod?.. the little jack your kickstart is attached too, gets burning hot? why? When I drive it, sometimes at 30mph the scoot will gag, and slow down really really fast.. Is my piston oK? Crank? Should I add engine cleaner into my gas tank, and see if that helps it?
Oh, BTW, the belt is almost brand new, and it has explosive acceleration to 25mph.

what kind of variator do you have?
the technomoto one, the brass roller comes out and overheats the variator sometimes...
I recommend getting into the tranny case and looking at it... sound wrong to me....

Yeah, the bike BOGS! I've looked at trans the other day... Everything looks fine. I've just noticed that the kickstart rod is gettin' hot...
Yamaha Vino '02 - No special parts! De-Restricted on both spots!

If the kick start shaft is getting hotter than normal... check to see if the variator is falling apart?
The stock one could do this as well...

I dont know if it is hotting than normal. Is it supposed to get hot at all? It doesnt explain why the scooter bogs at 30mph, and why wont it go 40mph anymore.. I didnt gain that much weight overnight :-)
The exsaust is clean, yet I am getting slightly better power.

Oh, I forgot to mention.. The Carbourator looks like it had oil spilled on it? Why?

didn't you add something to the fuel to "clear water" out of the lines?
makes me wonder if you burned/ate the seals on the scooter/carb...?
the carb sounds like you have a leak... which could explain a lot of stuff... IE: additional fuel/air causing it to run rich or lean...

It was alcohol addative.

if you put too much of it, the scoot wont run right, or it might not run at all.

buy a ring for your cylinder and replace it!
they are fairly cheap but half way difficult to get your hands on...
what brand cylinder do you have? is it for the airsal? contact erich, he should be able to get them... if not PM me and I'll try and track one down for you...

I think your kickstart my be normal. Mine heats up a little bit when riding. I mean, if yours is getting red hot or smoking or something like that...then you might have a problem, lol. Do yourself a favor and check the cylinder. You really sound like (to me) you just on the verge of a seizure.

ya you might have a bad ring and be getting blowby because maybe all the clogging in the exhaust caused too much heat and made a hot spot and melted the ring a lil on a certain area because you said it went a lil faster when he got the carbon out so that's why i think it's that
anyone else have any other input???

now that scares me.. ok. listen to this.. i am riding around 25mph.. wot at this moment, and scoot bogs.. lol! it is pissing me off.. i dont want to mess it up even more. so it might be a piston ring. if it is melted, can i replace it?
yamaha dealership told me $8+$17 for ring and piston, but they dont have it in stock. i would mind replacing it, even if there is nothing wrong with it.

thats a pretty good price..... How many times has this bog happened? I hate to tell you, but, I think these bogs are actually siezures!!! :o
You need to teart it down, and check the inerds of the motor.
How many miles? Your profile is incomplete. What scoot is it?
