I love the looks of the Metropolitan. Does anyone have any issues with it not being powerful enough?

The Metro is a 4 stroke 49cc motor scooter. It's top speed in around 40 mph depending on weight. It is very similar in dimensions and stats to the Vino Classic 49cc.

I think the Metropolitan II looks dope! If you've seen some JDM Met II aka--Crea Scoopie pics online, they have them stretched with the ruckus/zoomer swing arm, and suspension slammed to the ground-old skool style. Fun to pimp out, but very slow as a commuter.
Just drop in lighter weights in you variator and deristrict the carb and you should be seeing 40+ easy. I'm gonna drop a built JDM Honda DIO motor, which I have on the side in my garage, into my MET II. I should be doing 70+ all day long once I'm done =p

the regular Metropolitans models 2006 & later will go 45 mph--have a slightly different engine than the 2002-2005 models
check out Urbanscootin (http://www.urbanscootin.com) for a great forum for this scooter.
