Purchase a Kevlar Belt.

Belt time. Give the motor a good look over too though, you're getting close to the life expectancy of the motor.

Sounds like no better than to stage 2 it!

When I took off the cover where the belt it was all in rubber black powder what is the problem it looks like the belt has plenty of thread.

When I started upgrading my scooter I pulled off the tranny cover and there was a thin layer of the black belt materials over the whole inside of the case...

It's just normal wear and tear, the best is a "service" item that has a moderate life expectancy and with over 7000 miles I'm suprised thats not belt 3 or 4 or 5!

It's normal for this to be there, however if you replace it with a kevlar belt there will be a drastic reduction in the amount of belt particles you have in the case.

Provo has the kevlar belt for around $50.00, I got mine off of eBay for $45.00... Look around there are many brands and prices... However availability is sometimes an issue and I think Erich (provo) has them in stock...

With excessive belt wear (if that is the stock belt, then thats excessive with 7000+ miles) you'll have power loss as the belt is thinner and not connecting with the variator and clutch pulley as it should be, probably causing slippage!
