I tried the Zuma 125 today. The pickup from a stop was decent with smooth acceleration up to almost 50 mph on a level road. It may have gone faster but since it was a controlled test ride, I couldn't really max it out. I couldn't really test the handling due to the rather mundane road that we used for the test ride. It does possess dual rear shocks and 12 inch tires. However, the tires seem thinner than the 50 cc Zuma.
There are 3 different color schemes and I prefer the all black one. There is a cool feature which covers the key ignition and uses a magnetic looking key to open the cover before inserting your ignition key to start the scooter.
The helmet storage under the seat isn't as large as the 50 cc version.
Overall, I think it's a nice bike that will be very reliable if it is kept stock. Don't expect it to out run any cars or have the explosive acceleration that most of us are accustumed to riding our hopped up 2 stroke Zuma's. I would probably pay up to $3000 OTD for it. Unfortunately, in Hawaii, one shop is asking $3800 OTD and another $4000 OTD. With those prices, I will stick to my 2 stroke Zuma. Now if they don't sell due to our terrible economy and the dealerships are willing to negotiate, then you never know.
