hey i am completley new to this site i used to own a honda elite 150 that thing was so much fun but i have decided that i would like to get another scoot but this time something smaller and sportier so the zuma/bw it is.

what i am looking for in a scoot is all bottom end performance really i am a big guy 220 and change and it is jsut going to be used for quick jaunts to the store ad also some parking lot fun

after checking out the sales part on this site i figure i should prob save myself some headache and go straght to stage 2 with upgrades

what is the 200+ upgrade that cost 10 dollars or do us fat guys jsut have to pay more lol
i am thinking of the RS pipe as it seems to be the one for bottom end
Kevlar belt jsut seems like one of those things uwould be stupid not to do

now the other stuff such as the reed cage and the clutch are these things i should do during the whole process of taking it to stage 2 or are they things that can wait and be done easily later on

also one more question i am nota big fan of oil metering ( i also owned an rx7) and if it fails u are screwed are the systems on the zuma reliable or is it better to jsut run premix which honestly i dont mind doing jsut to ensure the modified motor is getting the extra oil it requires

Welcome Nothing.

Going straight to stage 2 upgrade is a good idea. The acceleration is awesome and the top speed is increased.

I think the upgrade for hills and heavier riders is just really light rollers.

With the reed cage, I would install it with everything else, Your going to take the old carb off anyways so you could replace the reeds right there. With the clutch you could install it later cause you dont have to remove alot. It just seems like an easier job then installing the reeds later on.

I am running a stage 2 and still running my oil pump. You will be ok if you dont plan on racing or anything but you can always premix to be 100% sure your getting oil.

Actually the kevlar belts are overrated. Most of the hot rod scoots use the stock belt. The kevlar ones seem to shred faster and when they got make a hell of a mess.

Also if you have the means to buy everything at once, do it all at once. That way you tune once and are done with it.

Use polini reeds as the malossi ones have been known to shatter easily, however I bet Provo would help you out if the malossi ones did break and f' up your motor.

With the 19mm carb, i'd just use the stock airbox with the snorkel removed. Those open filters are ALOT louder and you need a lot bigger jet (ie lower gas mileage) than with the stock air box.

Also depending on where you live, you migth want to get the manual choke. The autochoke doesnt work when its really cold (like up north), but if you love in the south it wont matter.

the carbon reeds, even if they break will not mess your motor up.... if you were running the stock metal ones... then there is a chance of messing the motor up...

I recommend the clutch! It's one of those "power to the wheel" parts...KEvlar belts... either way... run the stock one till it wears... and then go kevlar...

The oil pump is your choice... I personally pre-mix... I'd rather be safe than sorry...

And yes stage 2 + over 200 is extra weights that are lighter...
