i have a 2004 Zuma, I had a mechanic install my zx pipe and he installed the springs and torque spring on my clutch.. my mechanic didnt install the new tecono variator or weights.. My bike is quite slow, when it warms up its even slower. It accelerates really slow all the way up to 32mph and then it gets some juice. sometimes its hard to even get passed 30 when its pretty warm.

My question is , Would installing the new variotor with the 3.5gram weights help my performance? Also, my mileage is at 2,400, should i clean my air filter and change my kevlar belt? any info is appreciated.
Thanks p.s. i am a 190lbs rider

lighter rollers will definatly spped up you low end..... if your belt is worn, or stretched then that too will slow you down....

Start with the variater and then decide.....

there is also a vari mod for the Techno on here

Some people experience the ZX pipe is restricted. Make sure the pipe is not restricted at all.

yeah... My Leovince ZX pipe came with a "CONE" restrictor in the beginning of the pipe... it fell out on it's own when I started to install it... so I think it was a horrible weld or they did it on purpose... as everyone takes them out anyway...
