What would cause the back wheel to spin when the bike is sitting there at idle?

the belt is moving so the back wheel is going to spin, remember these are automatics and dont have a neutral gear.

OMFG !!!! This is the first time anyone has asked this question since we went live with the new forums. (For real!) t this question like three times a week on the old boards. Looks like I owe Vinnie five bucks! I bet we wouldn't go a month without this being asked!

When the bike was stock setup the rear wheel didn't spin. Now when everything is changed the erar wheel is spinning.

you need to adjust idle lower, the clutch springs to be stiffer or the torque spring stiffer...

however if it's only spinning a little it's not a big deal... if it's spinning 10mph without the throttle... then it's to high...

Normally it's not an issue...

It is spinning quite fast. Well what do you guys suggest I buy. If I buy like the malossi variator kit will that come with the torque spring and clutch springs like the tecnomoto one?

Thanks.

I would also make sure that your clutch bell is not rubbing on that hugh 41mm nut. That was my problem. Taking that nut on and off too much had rounded it up so it would rub on the clutch bell, making the rear wheel spin. In teh same light, make sure that the nut is tightened down enough.

Got a new nut and all probs went away

to start... lower your idle... that's probably the problem... it should be idling just enough to keep it running... not much more than that.... heck my lights are VERY DIM at idle...

this is the first thing to do... if that doesn't work then we'll go further into it... Heck, I could tell you to spell hundred but if it's idling to high it's always going to do it..

On the carb there should be a screw that sticks straight out from the side. When you turn it out(counter-clockwise) it will slow the engine down and when you turn the screw in(clockwise) the engine will speed up. It sounds as though you need to turn it out and slow your engine down. When you turn the screw turn it like 1/8 of a turn at a time until its perfect.

I was playing with that screw earlier today. I will give it a shot tommorow.
