Anyone have experience installing a new wheel on a yamaha vino classic 50cc? I'd like to get any tips or hunts before I break something.

do you mean putting on a new tire or the rim? with a new tire its not worth the hassle to try to do it your self. just go to a NTB or a place that does tires. I've found that going directly to the garage and ask the guys in there if they would do it works out better. The people at the desk will either say no or want to charge you a lot. If you do it yourself have a good way to hold the tire still so you can break the bead and it helps to have a buddy working with you.

I'm talking about putting the wheel on the scooter. I had the tire mounted at a local tire shop.

I've done this a few times whith no problem. With the scoot on the center stand, remove the exhaust pipe. This may already be off if you've had someone service the tire but had to mention it. You just have to seat the wheel on the splines of the axle and hand tighten the nut to ensure it doesen't cross thread. My manual says that the nut should be tightened to 75 ft/lb torque. Replace the pipe and your ready to go. When tightening the nut I had my son hold the brake and sit on the scoot to hold the tire in place. Hope your rolling soon.
