I'm guessing that is supposed to be a spoof pic?

Pretty silly... that'd take years to get going to 30 mph...

No, that's the plastic geared bike chain driven system. :p The new Geely's have a CVT.

Man you must be out of your mind. The chain drive sucks..there is only one speed. The sproket is made of plastic and breaks easily...and the cvt does not lose power over time..if so,its not the cvt but the belt.

use a impact driver, the hammer kind for the soft cover screws
on the geely tranny cover.remember cover gaskets are hard to come by.
i have 6 of those chain drives, beleive it or not they are a good scoot for a first timer renter
they won't do over 30 and they are a bit slower to take off. you just have to maintain them a bit more to keep them in good working order.

so the geely chain drive isn't fast enough you say.
they are made that way, the plastic gear at the "driven gear"
(or the black sprocket by the rear wheel)
is made to self destruct if it has too much weight to move,
it goes too fast or to much torque
in other words:
1.go buy a cvt transmission scooter, chinese is ok if you buy better brands
2.mod it, parts are everywhere
3.keep the geely for all your new girlfriends to ride ..dance..
