so its not running right, its spitting out tons of black oil from the exhaust, spitting oil back into the intake...

scoot will run for about 5 mins, wont go over 20mph. and after it gets hot it wont run anymore..

whats going on here, scoot has just over 1k on it.

seems either its not burning the oil or its just giving the scoot to much oil. what can i do..

what i have planned

1. new plug
2. clean filter

Is it the 2T Vino? Could be a bad choke, or the choke
is not getting power. The service manual had a choke
testing procedure, I can't remember it off hand.

yeah its a 2t, ive had it torn apart in my garage for a week or so, with the coot off not ran, exhaust removed..

and there is a large pile of leaked oil coming from the exhaust exit

oil injection is probably injecting way too much oil.

diagnose it (refill oil tank and measure oil consumption for a short run..)

report back.

well the scoot hasnt even been started, and still it leaks, so its like the oil injection is always on....

I'd say the exhaust is clogged. You need too clean and go from there. With it plugged the motor can't breath proper.

pipe isnt on it right now.. AKA not running, sitting in the garage, leaking everywhere....

just clamp it off. Or drain out all of the oil and run a premix. You wont have to worry about it agian.Clean off all the oil that you can see in the cylinder. There is a thread on here about how to run a premix properly. Hope that helps

Hummm, the oil injector only injects, when the rear wheel is spinning. Did this happen all of a sudden, or did it come on over time. Also was the bike sitting for a long period of time? Mine was dripping oil out of the pipe when I brought it back to life after sitting for three years. I put a new carb and pipe on it and it cleared up. Did you mess with the mixture screw before any of this happened? also, is it smoking alot, or just dripping?

Your just going too have too trace the oil line from the pump too the carb. and from the oil tank too the pump. Get some degreaser, clean area. Start your search for fresh oil. There is a oil die that you can add too the oil, then use a black light, the oil will glow.

As vino69cc said, either let it run out of oil or disconnect it and drain the oil injection tank. Run premix gas/oil mix. Its more reliable, precise and will work better although it is a little bit of a pain in the ass. I did this with my old two stroke scooter. I filled small bottles with the amount of oil needed for a tank of gas and added it at the gas station and never had to worry about the oil injection failing and causing my engine to sieze up.

dwsracing: seriously? Its leaking INTO the engine.. not around it. The only way it could leak into the engine is thru the oil injection system supply line, so what would finding a leak help? we already know where its coming from!

Of course this came from someone who suggested the exhaust was plugged.. =/

thanks for calling me a *censored**censored**censored**censored**censored* *censored**censored*, would love too do the same but a smart fella like yourself wouldn't understand. Listen, I was out of high school before you was even born, been there, seen that and lived that. When you test my smarts with out even knowing me, thats what you get. In your next line you have me on steriods, see your pattern. Im human and made a call on the scooter when I thought the bike was together. I missed where he tore down, like I tell my kids that are your age, if you don't have nothing nice too say, don't say it. This site is not about throwing people under a bus. Read some of my post, you may see I have helped many people and they helped me. Thats all your worth for today.

Dwsracing, could the engine flood with a clogged exhaust? It
seems possible. Maybe all the gunk that is now coming out of
the exhaust flange is from before, when the pipe was on.
Wether from a bad choke or plugged exhaust.

Does the oil on the floor look clean, or is it black?

before he tore it apart my thinking was if it was getting too much oil and in return clogged the muffler. Even if the oil problem was repaired, is the exhaust clogged ???
I guess I really missed that it was leaking internal, if so did where did the oil go ??
Out the exhaust or just too the floor?????

I am now having the same problem with my 01 vino 2st. How do I disable the autolube pump?

Mine does run. And gets up to 40 but has a very rapid mechanical deceleration.

Any help would be awesome.

I would just empty the oil tank and run premix. leave everything hooked up. It will probably eventually burn the pump out.

The correct way to do it would be to remove the pump, remove the gear that turns it and reinstall it without the gear to it doesnt turn.

Ive always just emptied the oil tank and had good results.

maybe the check valve for the oil injection is clogged?
