I was reading jereds how to's on the overdrive kit I noticed that his gear box set up is different than what is on my r3 on my r3 my cluctch is directly centered with my tire axle but on his the clutch is not centered with his tire I am wondering if that space is still the same as on my r3? is it the fact that he has a bigger tire thats why it's moved up the extra space???

I have both a Zuma, and a ZipR3. I can tell you first hand that the tranny's are VERY different and parts ARE NOT interchangable......

but they do make a kit for the old zip r3s right because i have only seen the overdrive mounted on the new style minarelli motors??

look up your scooer at www.malossi.com and look under the cataloge...
under your scooter there will be a list of parts that malossi makes for your scooter...
erich can get any part listed on malossi's web site...
once you find the part email erich (provoscooter.com's owner) at sales@provoscooter.com
and ask for a quote for the part number

Malossi doesn't seem to make ANY parts for Ventos.....
This was one of the reasons I decided to leave my Vento stock.... lack of "Big Name Parts"

Malossi makes plenty of parts for a Vento, you just have to look as a Yamaha Jog. They use the same parts just a little different positioning of the carb. MOST parts from Malossi work on the Vento scooters you just need to look a little harder.

I can't see your vento taking these gears... so maybe it won't work with jog parts...
Lennox have you looked at the gears to see if they are different or identical? Just might be located different places...
otherwise... Malossi has no listed parts for the Vento... Try emailing erich and asking if he knows of cross reference parts...

let me re-phrase that..... the tranny part are NOT Jog parts..... the variators need a bigger hole for the crank, and the rear (clutch, bell, gears) are different than my Zuma...... With enough trial and error, i'm sure you may be able to find stuff that works?? Maybe Eric has done some of this testing already?
