I am new to this board and have to say it is very helpful and informative. I just purcahsed a used 03' dark green and tan Vino, and the second day I derestricted it. Now of couse I need more. By the way my other vehicle is a 450 hp all motor Mustang that shows it's tail lights to the likes of Vipers, Z06 Vettes, and Turbo Porches. My question is what is a good set up for hills. I am in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii and there are hills mostly and on the flat ground the speed limit is usually 25-35 mph so I have no problem there. But up hills I am getting 28-30 mph and would like to get 45-50 mph. Is this possible? All out top speed is not nessessary, but I assume it will pick up more top end with the mods I will do in the future. So is there anyone else with a nice set up that see's hills on a regular basis? Any recommendations would be great. I was thinking of doing the stage one with the RS pipe, and finding the right weights for the variator. Then carbon fiber reeds, will this be enough or do you think I will need the stage two to get the desired speed for up hill? Thanks in advance, -Chris

Also I tried taking off the intake snorkel on the air box and it would try to pull the wheel up, but then fall flat on it's face. Is this the weights being to heavy in the variator, or too much air making it run lean? I am guessing the variator because the plug looked ok, just a little lighter brown then I like.

I would do the 70cc for hills.... the only I have in Florida are overpasses, and I cannot imagine riding REAL hills with any less than 70c......

Rydah (a member on here) who also lives somewhere in Hawaii wants to see fast Vinos....

I'd recommend skipping to stage 2 for you... stage 1 isn't going to be enough power for you...

I think that Erich the owner of provo says that the Vino's can get to 60sih on stage 2... I'd think they should be able to sustain a good 50ish on hills....

Hawaii go with the complete 70cc kit. if you want something for hill, get a bore kit, pipe, carb, and tranny. vinos can be fast, you can kill the hondas if you want.

70cc it is then, thanks for the help. I was going to do it eventually, but now I will just do it all at the same time then. Does this mean I have to change my name to Hawaii 70? I will post my results as it progresses.

Thanks again, -Chris

hahaha! I guess your stuck with hawaii 50 though as you can't make multiple user accounts without the software banning you... (it checks all sorts of stuff, in addition to name and email, things such as IP address and such)
