I have a oddball Zuma, it is a 1999 with 39 miles on it. I bought it from a couple that bought it new drove it twice and parked it. I dropped it at the dealer as soon as I got it and it needed a carb clean and a new vacume fuel valve ($380.00 total)
Scooter runs great but at partial throttle is seems to sputter and not run smoothly, is this normal??
Starts perfect and smooth, Idles smooth, and runs like a raped Ape at 3/4 to full throttle.
Thanks

sounds like they didn't do a great job job cleaning out the pilot circuit in the carb. For $380 I would take it straight back to them, and make them do it right.

Hey just to be clear (sorry never had a scooter before) it should not sputter or run rough at partial throttle correct?
Thanks for the advice

No. put-putting a little on idle is one thing, but partial throttle shouldn't sound that way.

could that be the pilot is too big?

i figure it's stock so all the jets should (should) be ok. i would take it to the repair shop again.380$ is way expensive...is that all they did clean the carb and change your valve???? also don't forget that at 39 miles you have to break in your motor. check your owners manual for the procedure.
